Transference-Focused Psychotherapy by Frank Yeomans, MD PhD

Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) is an evidence-based form of psychodynamic psychotherapy modified to address major personality pathology. It can help patients with borderline and narcissistic conditions achieve both symptom and character change. This workshop will teach the participant the object-relations based theory of TFP and introduce the techniques of the method.

Frank Yeomans, MD PhD graduated from Harvard College, Yale Medical School, and the Weill-Cornell psychiatry program. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Weill-Cornell, Adjunct Associate Professor at the Columbia Psychoanalytic Center, and Honorary Member of APsaA. He has authored and co-authored articles and books on the psychodynamic therapy of personality disorders.
